Dr. el-Hakim, often likened to the "Schomburg of the Hip-Hop generation," exemplifies an unwavering dedication to preserving and advancing the profound legacy of the Black Museum Movement.
As the premier traveling exhibition of Black history in the nation, the Black History 101 Mobile Museum has embarked on a journey that spans 43 states, disseminating "ourstory" to more than 1,000 institutions. For over 25 years, these highly sought after exhibits have touched the lives of countless individuals across diverse settings, including educational institutions from K-12 schools to colleges, corporate spaces, conferences, libraries, museums, festivals, places of worship, and cultural events..
